Most home improvement work needs safe access before a single tile comes off or a brush touches the wall. A ladder only gets you so far, anything involving the roof, a full elevation or working at height for more than a short spell needs a proper boarded platform with guardrails, and on many jobs your builder or roofer won’t start without one.
We erect domestic scaffolding on terraced, semi-detached and detached homes right across Hampshire. Every setup is designed around the job in front of it: the height, the ground it stands on, how it ties to the building, and how your trades need to move around it.
We start with a site visit or, for straightforward jobs, the details over the phone and a look at the property. From there we confirm the scaffold you need, agree a price and a date, and get it up, usually in a day for a standard house. We inspect and sign off on it before anyone works from it, and leave it tied and secure for the duration of your project. When your trades are finished, we come back and strike it, leaving the site clean.
Not every home offers easy access. Tight side returns, shared drives, conservatories, extensions and limited parking all change how a scaffold goes up. We work around them, bridging over obstructions, spreading loads where the ground’s soft, and keeping paths and entrances usable while the scaffold’s in place.
It depends on the height, how much of the house needs access and how long you need it up. A single chimney scaffold costs far less than a full-perimeter re-roof setup. Send us the postcode and job details, or call, and we’ll give you a firm quote, no charge.
Most standard domestic scaffolds go up in a day. Larger or more complex setups, full perimeters, bridged sections over a conservatory, can take longer, and we’ll tell you upfront when we quote.
Our quote covers a standard hire period of 4 weeks. If your project overruns, extended hire is straightforward to arrange, just let us know before it’s due to come down.
If the scaffold stands on your own property, no. If any part of it sits on the public pavement or road, a council licence is needed; we’ll arrange this for you.
Yes. We carry £10m public liability, and every scaffold is erected to TG20 standard and inspected before it’s handed over to your trades.
