Service we supplied: Scaffold tower.
Location: Richmond Rise, Portchester, Fareham, PO16 8DF.
Customer requirements: We were contacted to provide a quotation for our company to supply, erect and dismantle an access tower to the front elevation of a 2-storey property in Porchester, Fareham; this was to enable our customer to access the ridge tiles. We charged £400 for this tower.
Issues that arose: There were no problems that arose whilst erecting this structure. However, we were required to keep the front door and the small staircase clear for the homeowner to be able to safely enter and exit their property whilst the work was being completed on their roof.
What we did: Our scaffolders erected a 2.4m wide tower (8ft) that was approximately 6 metres high (20ft). This tower consisted of two scaffolding lifts, with the first placed above the front door. The top lift was then constructed at gutter height for our customer to safely access the roof. This scaffolding tower consisted of 4 vertical tubes as upright standards and 4 horizontal tubes as ledgers with 6 transoms fixed to the ledgers ( 3 on each lift ), creating the boarded platforms.
What else was included?
Rental period: Within our price, we included a hire period of 4 weeks. Which is our standard rental time for smaller scaffolds like this.
