Portsmouth Scaffold Erectors & Contractors

Portsmouth is a popular tourist destination as well as being a most desirable place to live, conveniently placed just 64 miles from London and less than 20 miles from Southampton. One of the most striking features of the city is the Spinnaker Tower which stands at 170 metres tall. Yet this magnificent structure, along with many more notable buildings in Portsmouth such as the cathedral and the central library would not have been possible without the aid of scaffolding.

Scaffold_PortsmouthAs one of the UK’s most reliable and independent scaffolders; Hampshire Scaffolding Ltd are going from strength to strength and are proud to serve the Portsmouth region and beyond, from Hilsea (PO2) in the north to Eastney (PO4) in the south. We provide scaffold designs for any type of building or renovation in Portsmouth and have brilliant portfolios that feature work on building sites helping to construct new builds with timber frames and temporary roofs as well as renovation work on domestic properties for house extensions and loft conversions.

Scaffolding Portsmouth

We can work for commercial clients in the city centre or on one of Portsmouth’s many industrial estates such as Southampton Road, using scaffolding to replace or refurbish shop fronts and offices. High rises are no problem either as our safety record is unbeatable and we can sell or hire a great number of safety features such as crash decks, rubbish chutes, edge protection, handrails and safety netting. We keep up to date with all Health and Safety (HSE) regulations to keep you, the customer, workers and the public safe.

Portsmouth_Access_ScaffoldingIn fact we specialise in the hire and sales of scaffolding so whether it’s a temporary project or a long-term job we can provide all the tools and equipment you need such as tubes, new and used boards, ladders, platforms and ramps. Our industrial clients will be most interested in our commitment to service and quality and our erectors receive full training and qualifications to ensure they are the best in their field. Or if you prefer you can erect the scaffolding yourself with full advice from us. Heras fencing can also be supplied for security around your site.

Here are just a few of our previous scaffolding customers...

Kirby Road, Portsmouth
For a domestic client wanting more space we erected a loft scaffold to give the building company a working platform to install the new roof trusses and roof tiles. Three scaffold levels were constructed to the rear elevation of a terraced property with an internal ladder access and gin wheel and pulley installed.

Wembley Grove, Portsmouth
A new build detached house required scaffolding for the external works to be built up to roof level. A blocking scaffold was erected at DPC level with three further scaffold levels built to give trades the safe working area needed to complete the works. A loading bay was installed with steel gates for stacking materials.

Meadway, Portsmouth
Solar panel scaffolding was erected to the front and rear elevations of this property as requested by the install company based in Essex. Two lifts of scaffolding were built to the front and rear with the tops lifts fully boarded and including edge protection handrails on the gable end. A ladder access point was installed to both elevations.

Stanley Avenue, Portsmouth
Three new build properties needed access scaffolding erected to the girth of the building for brickwork and blockwork to be built to roof plate level. A birdcage/crashdeck was installed to the internal floor area to provide safe working platform for the first floor joists and roof trusses to be fitted.

Doyle Avenue, Portsmouth
An access tower scaffold was erected to the rear elevation of this semi detached property to access a box gutter for repairs. Three levels of scaffold were provided with two lifts fully boarded and handrailed for the works to be completed. We also installed a rope and wheel to lift the new lead trays up to the working area.

Osbourne Road, Portsmouth
A large hotel building being renovated needed full scaffold constructed to the front elevation with all lifts fully boarded for redecoration works. We ties the scaffold structure to the building using Hilti anchor ties and 4m square intervals as recommended by the NASC. Debris netting was installed to the facade of the scaffold to contain the dust from the works.

Warren Avenue, Portsmouth
A roofing scaffold was supplied, erected and dismantled to all four sides of this property including protection fans over all pedestrian doorways. Five scaffold lifts were built to the girth of the building fully boarded on the top level only with a 100kg hoist erected for lifting materials up to the working platform.

Scott Road, Portsmouth
Rendering scaffold was requested from a Portsmouth based building company working for a domestic client. The freestanding scaffold was built to allow enough space to render the property but at the same time creating a safe working platform. We allowed for a gap of 300mm from the inside standard to the wall edge with tube end caps installed to protect the rendering works.
